Generate matching (pairing) questions automatically
A matching question asks learners to pair each item on the left with the correct option on the right. QuizGen.kr generates matching questions from PDFs, images, URLs, YouTube videos, uploaded video, direct text, and keywords, with between two and ten pairs in a single question.
Terms and definitions, people and achievements, events and outcomes, concepts and examples — paired information turned into multiple choice can only ask about one item at a time. Matching checks several items at once in the same amount of space, which suits unit reviews and vocabulary practice.
How to create matching questions
1. Upload material or enter a keyword
Submit a PDF, image, URL, YouTube link, uploaded video, pasted text, or a keyword.
2. Select matching as the question type
Choose matching and set how many pairs a question should contain. The default is 5 pairs.
3. Review and edit the result
Check the generated items and correct pairings, then edit wording or connections where needed.
4. Share, collect, and review
Share by link or QR code; participants submit their pairings and results are reported as accuracy.

Matching generation rules
Because one matching question holds several pairs, its generation conditions differ from other types. Check these rules first.
- A question can contain from 2 up to 10 matching pairs.
- If you do not set a pair count, questions are generated with the default of 5 pairs.
- Matching cannot be generated alongside other question types; it produces a quiz made entirely of matching questions.
- When you also need multiple choice, O/X, or short answer questions, generate them as a separate quiz.
Pairs can be made with the keyboard
Drag-and-drop alone would exclude keyboard and assistive-technology users. The matching quiz-taking screen also offers a keyboard answer selection mode.

Good to know before you start
- Export a quiz containing matching questions as PDF to preserve the two-column layout and answer connections.
- Matching questions are not included in the XLSX export.
- The more pairs a question holds, the harder it becomes and the more page space it takes.
- Generation quality depends on how well the source material was extracted, so review items and pairings before sharing.
